4-Hers highlight the need for more STEM education and the success of 4-H programs in helping America's youth prepare for STEM careers.
The 3rd annual 4-H Congressional Breakfast took place on April 13, 2016 at the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, DC. The event brought together members of Congress, leaders from land-grant universities, National 4-H Council Trustees, and 4-H youth from across the country! HughesNet attended the event and spoke about our partnership with 4-H to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. Our STEM ambassador, Thad Hughes of McLean County, Illinois, also attended and spoke about his passion for STEM education and how 4-H helps create tomorrow’s scientists and leaders. The 2016 4-H Congressional Breakfast sparked a vital discussion about the need for more STEM education to prepare America’s young people for future STEM careers and keep the nation competitive in the global economy.
