More than any other Internet provider, HughesNet connects people in rural places for e-mail, shopping, sharing photos, streaming videos and pursuing their favorite hobbies. We invited customers to share their wonderful and unique hobbies – and maybe even some tips to help you get started.
Here, we have Kimberly G. from Arkansas who loves cooking and baking. (Be sure to check out her Fruit Pizza recipe, below!)
How did you get into cooking/baking?
When I was younger it was with my Mamaw. After I got older, I learned how to cook a little more while working in the deli. But I really started learning more about making good food when God blessed me to become a wife and mother. I envisioned serving my family tasty and helpful meals whether it be savory or sometimes sweet. So now I find different recipes to keep my kids interested and husband happy!
What is your fondest memory while cooking and baking with your family?
My girls and I love baking together. So, of course, my most memorable moments have them involved. It was this past winter. I can still hear the giggles and smell the chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. We made the most of that snow day.
How do you use HughesNet to support your hobby?
I use HughesNet to support my love of baking and cooking by searching new recipes on the Internet, apps on my phone or asking for new ones on my social media page. I also connect with friends and family that share my love of food and we get to swap recipes that way.
