Doug F. | Idaho
Doug F. proudly calls the picturesque mountains of northern Idaho home. Surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains as far as the eye can see, he depends on HughesNet satellite Internet to be able to live where he loves.
“I get to live and run my business where other people go on vacation,” he said. “If it weren’t for satellite internet, I could never have gotten started.”
For Doug and his family, satellite broadband is essential for work and school – and has been since well before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Using HughesNet, Doug works remotely as an interface designer, teaches online art classes at a local university and runs his art business. Two of his seven children attend an online charter school—the same online school from which the older children graduated as valedictorians when they were living at home. The school requires students to access prerecorded lessons and complete homework assignments via the Internet—which his kids complete over HughesNet.
The Internet is essential for Doug and his family. “I'm grateful to live in such a remote and beautiful area,” he said. “There are very limited internet options in the mountains, so satellite internet has been my go-to for staying connected.”
